The Global Curator, 2010

A International Global Curator Exchange Fellowship Program

The Historians’ National Network of Museums Australia and the Curators’ Committee of the American Association of Museums are pleased to announce the launch of the 2010 Global Curator Exchange Fellowship Program.

This program is open to one curator from Australia and one from the United States. Each will be awarded a stipend to attend the other’s national conference. The conferences are the largest national gathering of museum professionals and host an array of professional workshops, sessions and activities.

The Australian curator will receive US $1,500 to help defray the cost of attending the American Association of Museums Annual Meeting in Los Angeles, 23-27 May, 2010.

The US curator will receive AUD $3,200 to attend the Museums Australia conference in Melbourne, 28 September – 2 October 2010. Support for the 2010 Australian leg of the Global Curator program is generously provided by Museum Historians’ NN and ICOM Australia.
